RYAN ALAN S. CELIS

Ryan Alan S. Celis is a Mechanical Engineer by training. He graduated from the University of the Philippines in Diliman in 1987 where he also earned his Certificate in Advanced Military Training in 1985. He placed 6th in the 1987 Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examinations. Ryan also took his Masters in Business Administration from the Ateneo de Manila Graduate School of Business in 1992. He started his professional career in San Miguel in 1988 which saw him undertake various positions, first as a Cadet Engineer, then as Head of Preventive Maintenance, Plant Engineer, and Manufacturing Manager of the company’s major feedmilling facility in Manila. On top of this, he also managed the company’s drying facilities for brewery by-products. His last assignment was as Plant Manager of a newly constructed feedmilling facility outside of Manila.

 

After leaving San Miguel, he set-up his own food company marketing and distributing his former company’s poultry and meat products under the Magnolia, Purefoods Hormel and Monterey Brands. He also set-up his own engineering and consultancy company doing project engineering and project management, consultancy and technical training, maintenance services, fabrication, construction, and installation works for feed and food manufacturing companies. Over-all, Ryan’s experience in the feedmilling industry spans 32 years. At present, his company also operates a feedmill plant in the southern Philippines doing contract manufacturing for various major feed integrators and commercial feedmillers.

OLAF NAEHRIG

Olaf Naehrig is Amandus Kahl’s Senior Area Manager, responsible for the Asia/Pacific markets. He has been in Amandus Kahl’s sales team since 1996 and has been active in the Asian market for over 24 years. The expander technology has been one of his main fields of activities, especially in mature Asian expanders markets as Japan and Korea and the fast developing expander markets such as in Taiwan and Vietnam. He is very familiar with all expects of the use of expanders in feed milling, such as improved feed digestibility, increase of pellet quality and pellet press capacity, hygiene, reduction of anti-nutritive factors for pig, poultry and cattle feeds. He is a qualified machine fitter and graduated from Nordakademie Elmshorn/Hamburg, Germany, with a degree in Industrial Engineering/ Business Administration.

Pablo Abel Fernandez Moriana

Pablo A. Fernandez Moriana recently joined Bühler in September 2020 as the Head of Grain Storage for SEA&Oceania Region.

 

 

Pablo has more than 10 years of experience in the field of Silo and Grain Storage. His vast experience in the business involved multiple works across 4 continents that gives him a multicultural and multifunctional point of view in the industry.

 

 

After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Administration, he earned a Global Executive MBA at EAE Business School in 2019.

JON  RATCLIFF

In 1981, Jon Ratcliff, an honor graduate from Reeding University, joined national UK feed company J Bibby Agriculture as a Poultry Nutritionist.  During his fifteen years with J Bibby, and latterly Associated British Foods, he undertook vaiours management positions culminating in his appointment as General Manager in 1990 and Commercial Manager in 1994 responsible for 4 multi species feed mills producing 450,000 tonnes per annum.

In 1996, he left to set up his own consultancy business, Food & Agriculture Consultancy  Services (F.A.C.S. Ltd.) As well as providing a nutritional service, F.A.C.S. specializes in the implementation and audit of HACCP based food safety programs from farm through to processing.  For more than 15 years, Jon has been consulting for the UK's leading supermarket, Tesco, on  matters relating to animal feed and animal feed mill and supply chain auditing.  He has considerable experiences in feed mill systems across the world and provides seminars and training on HACCP and GMP specifically for feed mills.

Dr. Claus M. Braunbeck 

Dr. Claus M. Braunbeck studied agronomy at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms University in Bonn and the University of Hohenheim. He graduated in the field of agricultural engineering. He then took his Ph. D. at the Institute of Agricultural Engineering in the Tropics and Subtropics of the University of Hohenheim. During his doctorate he worked on the development a rice husk furnace for the low-temperature drying of paddy. During this time he supported a German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) project on post-harvest technology for rice in the humid tropics at the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), Los Banos, Philippines. Following this project Dr. Braunbeck worked for almost 10 years as a product manager in the field of ventilation technology in agriculture. Later he joined GEA Farm Technologies GmbH as sales manager for milking equipment with responsibility for sales in Asia. Since 2011 Dr. Braunbeck has been the Asia area manager for FrigorTec GmbH.

Neal Cass

After gaining his degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Southampton in England, Neal spent 10 years developing and commissioning control systems for a major international food process system manufacturer.

 

In 2007 he started working for Hydronix as a Customer Service and Software Development Engineer before becoming Sales Manager in 2011.

ROGER  GILBERT

Roger Gilbert has worked in the milling sector globally as a journalist and publisher since 1983, with a focus on feed, flour, rice milling and aquaculture feeds processing. As the publisher of Milling and Grain magazine since 2000, He is a New Zealander and graduated from Orange Coast College, California in 1972 before joining the NZ Ministry of Agriculture as a press officer. Roger says milling has become an essential process that supports our modern-day civilisation, providing nutritious foodstuffs for all. He believes that new milling technologies and applied science-based nutritional research is the way forward in providing safe and affordable food. “In an ever changing world Milling and Grain has been updating millers’ technical and nutritional knowledge since 1891. Long may the magazine continue to meet this need and meet the challenges to feed 9.5 billion people by 2050.”
